HOOSIER BASKETBALL MAGAZINE TABS TOP 60 SENIOR BOYS
Attached is a list of Hoosier Basketball Magazine's Top 60 senior boys’ basketball performers for the 2010-2011 season as compiled by Garry H. Donna, publisher of Hoosier Basketball Magazine. They were selected from approximately 1,600 senior players statewide. Seven players who participated in the 2011 IHSAA State Finals highlight the list of invitees. They are Spencer Turner, Bloomington South (AAAA Champion), Kurtis Anthony and Cody Zeller, Washington (AAA Champion), Huston Clark, Kokomo (AAAA Runner-up), Cheir Ajou, Culver Academy (AAA Runner-up), Adonis Filer, Hammond Bishop Noll (AA Runner-up) and Griffyn Carpenter, Triton (A Runner-up). Among Top 60 players invited to participate is the state's highest scoring senior for the 2010-2011 season — Austin Richie, Lowell (32.8 ppg). Six other seniors who scored 24 or more points per game include Max Landis, Perry Meridian (25.7), Grant Newlin, Cowan (25.3), Isaac Loechle, North Decatur (24.7), Rontray Chavis, Princeton (24.4), Zeller, Washington (24.2), Kendall Vieke, Vincennes Rivet (24). Statistical evaluation, game observation and statewide research were conducted throughout the season and the 2010 state tournament to determine Hoosier Basketball Magazine’s Top 60. Two sessions of the Top 60 Workout will be hosted on Sunday, April 3, 2011 by Hoosier Basketball Magazine, in conjunction with the IHSAA and the IBCA, on the campus of Marian University in Indianapolis. Twenty-eight boys of the Top 60, primarily from northern and southern Indiana, will participate in the first session (1:00-3:00 pm EST). The remaining 32 players, primarily from central Indiana, will compete during the second session (3:30-5:30 pm EST). Coach Larry Nicks (Indianapolis Arlington) will direct both sessions. Four other outstanding IBCA coaches have been invited to assist Nicks. Both sessions are open to the public for an admission charge of $6.00. Media should call (317) 925-8200 for credentials to one or both sessions. The 2011 Top 60 invitees follow.
